Just picked up a Mac Tools 3/8 digital torque wrench yesterday. It was $500 but worth every penny concidering how often I use it. It has inch pounds, foot pounds and NM on it. I couldn't even read my 3 year old 3/8 Snap On on torque wrench that I have any more without using my reading glasses. Getting old sucks. Oh well this will make my job easier every single day.

OH Ken!
That just made my nips hard.
I miss the plasma cutter, the part I don't miss are fumes. Mask up!

Leatherman wave. One in my truck, one in my tacklebox and one in my pocket at work.

9.99$ Deadblow hammer from Princess Auto. Keeps my four year old occupied so I can get work done in the garage and keeps him OUT of my tool box. No more lost or scattered tools!

One of the very first things I made was an evac system; welding, grinding, cutting, it is always on. Not a fan of breathing particles like that.

I've become really fond of these pull saws that Irwin makes ( also under the Marples name) and have a couple of them. The pull saws make so much more sense than a hand saw typically viewed as the traditional style which cuts on the push, when its trying to bow out of shape.

My 5 year old 18V Hitachi packed it in so I picked up a new one.

I purchased a Makita 18 Volt Lithium with 450 in/lbs. WOW!!! This thing drives a 2 3/4 inch screw through 2X4's in....2 seconds; Maybe less? The batteries last for a long time and recharge to full from dead in 15 minutes. Quick charging used to be considered 1 hour. The drill weighs in at under 4 lbs and is less than 8 inches long overall. It has an LED light that lights up what you are screwing.(Giggity.) I thought it was a bit gimmicky but it is a very handy feature.

I am very happy with this tool purchase.

Stiletto TiBone 2 15oz. titanium framing hammer! A must for any carpenter or framer. Weighs 15oz. they claim it hits like a 28oz., I find its more like a 24oz.

Regardless it saves big time on shoulder/elbow pain from pounding nails all day and also has a side nail puller (extremely conveniant for pulling 3 1/2" duplex nails).

Also you can change the head when they wear out, well worth the cost!
