You never know where one will pop up ! I worked out of FSJ & would never think of finding one there !
Not fussy on the color though.

69 and 70 Stangs are my fav. Mustangs. Especially the big blocks. Even though they'd still be in my rearview mirror.

OK OK !

They [may] have been "tweeked" a wee bit

Second one was a Ford race team car Bro ended up with.

First one was built by older Bro. He bought it & brought it home in the dark of night, went straight into the shop. Engine pulled and sent away.
Later brought out into the light of day & presented to his buddies as a new bought car. (his one buddy had a stock 69 428 SCJ)
His buddy took years before he found out why his red one couldn't stay close to Bros car

Both cars set track records though. As well as this next one. 70 Cougar Eliminator 428 SCJ.

What the car looks like now.

Older Bro with Barrie Poole in about 06 ? Bro on the right.

Barrie had built engine(s) for Bro.

The only real thing I know about the old stangs, is they tried to fancy things up with levely names;

fastback

slotback

brokenback

rustyback

slopedback

parkedoutback

You mean something like this "slightly" modified 68.5 ?
It has an all aluminum 526" FE with a jerico 4-spd.

Reeve's:

Methinks your ideas of "Tweeked" and "Slightly Modified" are a little different than most folks.

ie. Nice 'chute on your "Slightly Modified", slick wearin..68 1/2?

Still.... wouldnt mind a STOCK (that would be NO MODIFICATIONS) '69 though, but they are goin for big bucks now. '70 Chevelle LS6 is on my list too.....and a ....ohh there are so many betweeen 68 and 71 that would be nice to have...but then again I can't afford the fuel for the one I have. At 7 mpg, it doesn' get driven as much as it used to.

Abe - good time to buy is now. States are having some problems & people are selling off their toys.
I saved some pictures of a resto 69 BOSS 302. It was a rust free car to start with. Looked better than new & bone stock. Went for 50k.
I've been reading up on the 69 Mach1s as well. One of the best seen went for a touch over 100k.
3 Years ago they would have gone for much much more.

I do admit my idea of "tweeked" differs from others

Never was a Chevy fan: they have distributors on the wrong end on the engines

Yip I keep an eye on Barret and Mecum's, and yeah the nbrs are so far down from 5 years ago or there 'bouts. If you recall that 70 Chevelle that went for a cool mil + commission. I'm like everyone else in Alberta in the last three years, my income has gone down instead of up. Funny thing though, the company seems to be doing alright. It appears I'm paying for the "Taj Mahal" that they tell me I'm fortunate to work in it.

I'll stick with my '71 Vette. There arn't many ppl that wanna play when they see the antenna flipping back and forth while I'm sitting at a set of lights. There was one young guy in a new Cobra last year that learned quickly that Old be good. They should actually tell these guys when they sell them the cars that they are rating horsepower at the flywheel again....and messin with a big block just ain't all that smart. (By the way mines just a tad "tweeked" too.) Seriously just a tad...I still have vacuum and can run it on pump gas.......

Anyway nice Rides' Reeve's. I do have a spot in my garage for a 69 stang.

While the Mustangs are really cool cars, what turns my crank are the light ones: Pinto.
This red one is an old race car a fellow in NY has (he is 68 !) and has been working on to put on the street. 203w with 612 HP & turns 8 sec. in the 1320'.

Bob Glidden's car had been up for sale. If I remember right, it didn't reach the reserve.

Last one I built. Color looks purple, but it isn't. It is actually a Vette blue with extra metalic.

Arn't Pinto's sorta like fat girls and Mopeds?????

Next you'l be tellin me your favorite car was a Gremlin X.

Nice '69 but the 210,000.00 may slow be down just a tad. Says it's an Edmonton car. I don't recall ever seeing it. Must be a true Garage Queen.
