SHUPP Moron. I would be the first to admit I wouldn't beat a full-blown f-----n race car. But 0-60mph in 4.2 ain't sluffin, either. Now go back and pretend you're workin.
Reeve's, this is commin from a man that drive a mini-van....

here we go if I needed a horse power Boner....I'd buy a powerstroke or cummins...chip it... and you would still have to drop your vette off a cliff to catch it....the kicker would be that I would get the tards that I work for..pay for it

Oh boy I just love that white 68. When I was in gr 10 I knew a guy in gr 12. He had a 67 green fastback, 390. Skinny tires in the frt, fat ones in the back all on factory rims. That car is imprinted in my brain. Seeing that white one brings back memories of watchin that guy do burn outs and racing his buds after school. One day I will have one for myself. Nice pics.

Sooner - I grew up in that era. Brother had the 69 Mach1, 69 Coupe & the 70 Cougar Eliminator. He was also a good mechanic.
Our shops had all makes of cars around on the week ends. Work being done on the cars. Match races just up the road on a well marked out 1/4 mile.
If it was steetable, it was by our place at some point !
I was always around helping out where/when I could. Learned to love the cars , regardless of who made then. (except I was/am a die hard Ford guy)
I even had a 9'x5' Ford flag !
Brothers buddies thought me nuts for buying a Pinto. Till we raced. They understood then what HP to weight really meant !
I have no idea how/why Brother & I never ended up at the same starting line. I do remember that after he took my last Pinto for a spin, he said he didn't think he could beat it in the 1/4. That was with the Mach1 428 SCJ, @ (about) 550 HP.
The Coupe would have blown my doors off without breaking a sweat.
Fun time in my life !

I don't know cccan. The maximum fall speed of a Vette dropped off of a cliff is 32 feet per second square to a maximum of about 120 MPH so it will go 0 to 60 in about 3 seconds. Might be close but I would have to do the math. By the way what is the coefficient of a falling Corvette?

I've been in since 6.30. Went to Southtown yesterday. They are willing to do me a "fair" trade on the Ruby for a 2012. New Ruby's look like a Grand Cherokee inside..leather, etc...plus the biggy, they will have the Penstar. 80 horse more and 20% better fuel enconomy., still have all the off-road stuff in em...Dana's..diff lock etc...just more creature comforts for the 95% of the driving I do.
If I decide to go ahead, I'll post mine here. Only got 58 k and has every option that was available in '08. Havn't even put the soft top on it..still in the box. Looks like 25-26 is retail. Ill sell it for a cpl of k less which will geive me a cpl of k better than trading.
Doesn't matter what they tell you on a trade, they're the ones that come out ahead. Give you less for yours and tell you less for the new one..or give you more for yours and take nothing off the new one.
