I changed the battery in my wifes 96 aurora. It activated the antithieft system in the radio. Shaw gmc wants $130 to push three buttons and call a 1800 number to get a new code. I have the 1800 number to call but you need a dealer number to get any info. Can anyone help

do you have the owners manual, it may have the code in there, each car has its own "code" you have to put in to get past the antitheft. if not your kinda sol.

The factory setting for GM anti-theft stereos is "0000" But I am assuming you have already tried the factory code.
