Default D.O.T. Log Book Fines?

I know we have all types and trades here,
and some with better google-fu than myself,
So I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of a an actual list of the fines for Drivers logs and hours of service violations in Alberta?
I am having troubles finding a standard set of what each violation can mean penalty wise,

Thanks!

Call up a weigh scale or stop in. I'm sure they can print you off the list.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there are set monetary penalties for National Safety Code violations in Alberta, but I think the maximum fine is $25000.

If you get too many violations, I'd be less worried about monetary penalties and more worried about your NSC certificate being revoked and the company being shut down.

I think Scott is right on with this one.

You wont win a battle with the D.O.T. Is someone asking you to cheat your logbook?

Oh not at all
I do internal audits and was just hoping to nail down a actual amount instead of the omni nous scare tactic of just saying heavy fines

I have searched and can't find anything specific to the price of fines. You can contact them directly and ask.

I do know of a few occasions where drivers have been put out of service for 24 hours to reset their cycles due to incomplete information or incorrectly filling logbooks.

Default 2 sets of rules

Provincial Hours of Service and Federal Hours of Service.

Did you get a ticket or an Appearance Notice?

Specified Penalties provincially are $345

Federally the judge sets the fines. Usually in the $500-$1500.

Default NSC Fines

I can tell you a company I worker for was fined $24000 for numerous infractions. This included records, no Logs at all, no list of approved drivers, no records of drivers licence or drivers abstracts for approved drivers. The company did manage to turn things around. Initially the company was found to be 11% compliant with the NSC requirements. Once the company did a lot of training and worked very hard to boost compliance they were audited again by the NSC and received a Satisfactory (audited) rating. They are now 90% compliant.

You have to know what section of what act to see if there is a specified penalty.
