Default Power line Kits for networking computers

Anyone use these? Seems like running connections through the power lines could improve signal issues in basements etc.

An xbox running on wifi in the basement if hooked up to the computer more directly should run faster I would think?

I'll qualify my comments with two provisos
1) I don't like wireless networks
2) I like the powerline stuff less

Hooked up to what computer? Why does your XBox need to be hooked up to a computer?

I know it is a pain, but run some Cat5 and be done with it. I ran Cat5 to pretty much every room in our 2 story + walkout and have a nice fast/reliable network. The WiFi is available for the convenience of people visiting and for the iPad/smart phones.
