Killer night on the bow

Just arrived to the spot, sit down and watch while I finish my smoke. I see 4 rise right away 2 descent sized, I watch a little more and cast 4 times and hook up to a descent rainbow, maybe 14-16 in. Didn't see that I dropped my pliers into a deep hole in the rocks, a little searching elbow deep and turned them up , sit down again have another smoke and coffee let it settle down a bit and toss another few casts in a little further down (still very close)
And hook up with this beauty brown, at least 25 in so much girth and what a hook jaw. All while sitting and in 20 30 min, too good.

Picked up a few on the surface too. One brown was just about as long as my net!
I'll measure it tomorrow(the net)

i'm a little jealous. not of the fish you caught (witch by the way looks great) but of the clear clean looking water that your fishing in.

Nice fish!! Gotta love those browns.

Now just imagine how many more fish you could have caught if you didn't smoke so much!

haha, I am not one to judge though.. I can usually be found fishing with a cigar - Just don't be throwin butts in the water like I have seen so many people do

Thats a sweet brown you got there!

Makes the 16&18" rainbows i got there on a caddis a couple days ago seem small. Not many rivers you could say that about.
