Heading out to 308 this weekend for a 6 day elk hunt with my father in law. Has anyone hunted this area, is there much public land to hunt on, good camping spots. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. He has hunted for deer there b4, i myself have never been out there, so going in a little blind, should be a blast though!

I have a cow tag there. Its mostly foot access where we go back on the whaleback. Hope to get there for the opening of rifle on oct 25th. Report back on wat you see in there
