Default Cerakote

There is a guy in central Alberta who does Cerrakote work. Can't remember his name. Anyone remembers?

How about someone in Calgary?

There is a guy I met last year at the Calgary gun show that does this. He is out of Chestermere... He did my rifle and stock... Amazing price and even better job.

Dave Hull @ 4036142320. Tell him Dwayne sent you. I guarantee he will be much lower than the other guys.

Really thinking of getting my rifle done but worried about the wear longevity of cerakote.

Anyone here have a hunting rifle done that they’ve hunted hard for a few years? How’s it standing up? Could make a decent rifle look really bad of it doesn’t wear good.

I had Bob Galloway do my custom .338 in matte black Cerakote. He does very nice work.

RPS International did mine for me. Really happy with it. They're in Spruce Grove.

My guns at a match get bashed around a lot. Not sure if a single match is a years worth of hunting but a season is for sure.

Cerakote is tough stuff if applied properly.

Not sure if you have instagram but check out badlands_precision on instagram (you can do that on the internet so you don't need the app).

I've had several Cerakoted rifles, applied by different 'smiths. Rob McLeod does great Cerakote work, and he's just south of Calgary.

Longevity and hardness depends on the prep, application, and seems to depend on the individual colour and formula of the Cerakote being applied, too. Seems like the glossy colours are harder and last longer, while the more matter stuff scratches and dents easier. The Elite stuff doesn't seem any harder than the regular bake-on product. The standard Graphite black colour has been the most wear resistant for me.
