Default I did not know this

I did not know that US citizens sent rifle to England during WW 2. Here is an interesting Win. 1886 that made the trip and back, beautiful rifle as well.

Very cool.
If applied in combat an 1886 would definitely have physiological affect on the enemy.

Britain effectively disarmed it's population, sound familiar ? then went begging abroad for anything that would shoot when the crap hit the fan.

They still have not learned… owning a gun in Britain isn’t a simple thing…. But you can still buy a knife!

If I'm remembering it correctly, the British sent these to their own proof houses. Even in these dire circumstances. thy didn't have enough faith in other country's proofing to deem these safe!!

Their gun laws weren't that restrictive in the 1930's.
The fact is that most people couldn't afford to hunt so had no use for hunting arms.
