Default Fun Off Season Practice

I just spent an hour with friends shooting ground squirrels. Heavy gusting winds, and shooting them at 150 to 250 yards with the 17 Hornet is about the best off season practice that I have had this year. A lot more challenging than shooting paper, and a lot more fun. I actually only dropped by to deliver a 223 rifle for a friend's daughter, and I took my 17 hornet along just in case. I shot 50 rounds and could have shot more, but I had another appointment this evening. The young lady did very well with the 223, hitting some at 200 yards.

I gotta admit that sounds like a way better afternoon than mine was.
