While not quite the same load, I was using 150gr TTSX with H1000 and IMR4831 and I couldn’t get the velocities I wanted with those powders. I switched to 120gr and got a very good group with very good velocity.

What bullet type was the 120? I really like the TTSX bullets.

Still TTSX.

Less BC but I can drive them faster for better expansion.

Try IMR7828SSC or just 7828 with the 150 TTSX if you have it. Velocities approaching 3200fps with great groups in my Sako

R-22 or IMR7828 both work well, but I prefer a lighter TTSX in the 7mmremmag, to keep the velocity higher, for better expansion. The 140gr TTSX is my favorite, if it shoots well in the rifle.

I can’t remember the exact velocity off the top of my head, and I’ve only shot 1 5 shot group with the 120gr, but it was sub-moa at over 3300fps.

I’m going to load up another batch Monday and see if I can repeat it.

Default TTSX or LRX

Pertinent threat for myself

I've shot Factory Loaded Barnes VOR-TX in 7mm Rem Mag 160 gr in the TSX bullet.

I have been on this round more or less since the load was released commercially.

Generally a good performing bullet however I shot a bull elk this year, had a pass through with no expansion evident.

This is at least the second time I have had no expansion with this round.

Considering moving to a TTSX bullet for the tip, as supposedly most people see more reliable expansion with this design.

Anyways - considering dropping to the 150 or even 140 grain TTSX in factory loaded

OR

Moving to the new 168gr LRX bullet (this means I would have to hand load).

I use this rifle for deer and elk/moose - looking for a single purpose load.

The 140gr pill seems to be made for the 7mm calibres, keeps the velocity up, expands great and kinda brings the cartridge all together or some might say completes it.
