Has anyone been out there this year? THe stocking report says they only put 500 in, I was wondering if its worth the drive up that road or if I should just fish around Invermere??

Howdy.
Theres always some big bruisers out in White Swan. Even landed some ranging in the 24" field. They may have only put 500 this year, but thats because theres so many in there, and of those 500, I bet some of those are trips. But yeah, I'd give er a go.

Thanks for the quick response... I fish the lake 3 or 4 times a year and normally do quite well. I wasn't aware they put triploids in their.. I do fish a lake just outside of Wilmer that has triploids in it, I can't believe how fast they grow, beautiful fish for sure. I like how the males get really dark! Heres a couple from last winter.

I have heard it was pretty slow out there this year, a few bigger ones being caught, but not like years previous.

I fished that lake near Wilmer this year as well, only one on the ice and another couple on the ice from the groups around us.

we are heading up for the family day weeked and was wondering if anyone has been out lately if their was any ice reports? can you drive on the ice? and also what kind of hooks to take? any info would be great thanks
