ok guys....funds and favours ran out some time ago.

we need clip boards for data collection project. 26 in total. Who can bring a clipboard?

also having bobbers might help the kids detect bites. We need 104 bobbers, can anyone bring bobbers. Plastic ones that just hold up a 1/4 oz jig and bait is perfect. Too big and they wont detect bites. If we all bring a few it wont hurt as much.

i will buy whatever the shortfall is.

Thanks Mikeo for donating the water proof paper for data collection.

Dago and WC i need you opinion for the email i sent out...thanks

I got you hogslayer what if all the guides brought 4 bobbers that would work. If your like me I've got quite a few kicking around.I'm bringing my tackle box full of my favorite hooks that I will be sharing with my crew. Not that its a compatition or anything but my teams going to catch the most fish.

test hole was just shy of 17 inches of ice. Good hard clean ice. shoreline melt was barely starting and only in black mud areas. our access to the water if we need to haul by hand is excellent.

The pictures help a lot to know what to expect.

No need for a snowblower if things stay the way they are.

Okay folks I was hoping this question would just go away but it wont so I will answer as diplomatically as possible. Since the final draft of the sponsor baord was released I have been accussed of locking out a certain sporting goods store and showing favouritism to another. Both stores which are in Calgary.
This is totally un true. Yes ive always been a fan of a certain store in Calgary but i never locked out any store from participating. Ive welcomed any store to contribute for the benefit of the Children.

The facts are the store in question was invited and solicitated for theiir participation and the event recieved no reply. Contact was made via email and in person by a volunteer. Thier choice to not participate is totally respected and I hold no ill feelings towards the store in any way. Many reasons could be present some of which could be store policy or the timing of the event.

I hope this open answer clarifies my position and I will not answer any questions privately for 2 reasons.
1- I dont have anything to hide
2- I have better things to do so this is my one and final answer

Thanks
CD

Well said Chubb. Through communication with you by e-mails and pm I know many stores and organization were contacted NO ONE was locked out all were given an opportunity to be part of this event. Because of reasons of their own some were not able to or did not want to contribute as happens when ever an event like this is planed. No ill will should be turned to these businesses not everyone is able to step up to every cause. I believe you have gone well beyond being fair with dealing with everyone in regards to this event and have had to deal with a lot of things brought on by others that you should not have had to. Your doing a great job and I thank you the enjoyment that the kid will have will only be out done by the enjoyment we will receive watching them.

Thanks guys but the truth is this event will suceed because of everyone who has contributed. The event has shown me the greatness in some and the worst in some people.
One person in particular has helped with goods and services here in Calgary and will not accept any printed acknowledgment of his generousity. His contribution is huge and some day i hope to return favours in his direction.
Another person from Sherwood Park has donated very generously and refusses any printed thank you's.

Then there are buddies who have donated and asked not to be noted and Ive ignored their requests, lol, lol, hahahhahaa. m-keo, h-rsetrader,g-2, hahahhahahhaha, see guys its in top secret code.

With the event and this thread under the magnifying glass,I truely believe we have all handled ourselves as best possible. The children's safety and happiness has been first and foremost.
Our every move and decision has been addressed with the childrens well being being paramount.

I thank everyone for contributing, its through your generousity and kindness that this event is possible. That thank you is extended to the people who contacted people they know who in turn have given so generously. To all that have entered the Web of this event your Good People, Bless you all.

Just a few GOOD stories that far out wiegh the drama and negativity
