I like when you read so many comments about how hunters are such tough people hiding behind there high caliber rifles so far away from the “innocent” animal. Then comes the comment about “give him a speer and get face to face to the animal and be a real hunter”. Well that happens and now we’re back to being gruesome, small dick, don’t deserve to live men again.

Great video. Unfortunate the ABA and that bonehead outfitter Rivet didn’t think before they acted.

I promote all types of hunting, whether it be bow, rifle, spear, blowgun etc.
My only problem with the spear hunts is when guys strap a GoPro to the spear, and all you can see is the spear spinning within the animal, blood gushing out, and the animal running frantically.
That just seems unnecessary, but further, to the untrained/inexperienced person who is not used to the reality of hunting or death, it could be shocking... Not to mention fuel for the Anti fire.
Just sayin'

Yeah it's laughably hypocrisy on the antis part. They want us to "make it fair" and not hide behind our firearms and then when it starts to happen they change their tune. Just goes to show that there is most likely no pleasing the snowflakes.

The antis don't care what weapon is used. They just pile on the easiest target at the time and some here help them because it isn't there weapon of choice and they don't like it.

^^^ Very true. We as hunters and outdoorsmen and women should support each other, providing it is legal. I know ethics can vary widely from person to person but we should support all legal hunting and gun ownership and if it falls outside your ethical boundaries or even just interests then don't do it or at the very least don't condemn it, especially publicly.

The moral of the story is no matter what you do you will never please the anti hunting crowd. Wring it's neck with your bare hands and you're a psycho. Knock it down at 500 yards and you're a small dicked or even dickless human.
What's the magic number of yards that's acceptable?

Very cool video. Thanks for sharing. I was expecting to see more of a throw of the spear from a bit of distance but this was kinda neat that he was so close. Anyone know what the shaft of these spears are made of? Aluminum or maybe wood?

Spear hunting of big game "only" is ban in Alberta from what I recall, other than that it is still a go across the rest of Canada and around the world.
The folks in the Northern part of Canada are still Harvesting seals and many other critters with spears.
I hope no one posts a harvest with a rock. Ha

Well now you don't need to worry about it. Banned in Alberta because of the poor taste and judgement of one hunter and outfitter.

Good video, thanks for posting. I have killed a few bears with my bow and these speared bears died as fast or faster.

Is spear hunting banned for everyone? Or just licensed hunters?
