Default Boat Gas

I have about 15 US gallons of stabilized and oiled boat gas that I probably won't use this year...will it last until next year? Or should I give it away?

I assume it's going into a 2 stroke outboard of some kind? I have the same tank for about two years now and it's still not empty, runs just fine. I should probably go out fishing more.

I assume you're not dumping mixed fuel in your car though, right?

I have burned mix boat gas in my pickup lots of times. The 8 litre engine doesn't even notice the 100 to one mixed gas. The other thing is I dump 10 gallons at a time, 44 litres, into a tank that holds another 100 litres or 24 gallons so the total dilution rate of the oil is something like 300 to 1.

When I have extra mixed boat gas, i save it in a Jerry can for the chain saw/ice auger etc. 15 Gallons is a little bit more to use up. Couple gallons of mixed in the vehicle, then top up with reg should not hurt anything.

You must get rid of it immediately. I will gladly take it off your hands to save your environmental fees. Walleye are biting!

when gas gets really old to the point of smelling like paint thinner,it makes a great fire starter for the back yard fire pit. It doesn't go wooof like fresh gas but lights slowly more like kerosene. Waste not want not..

If it is mixed 50:1 there is no reason you can not add it to your car or truck .
Maybe use half of it with a full tank of fuel.
