Default WMU 104 Elk

Does anyone have any information or landowner contact details that may have some intel regarding Elk in 104? I have a antlerless tag for the month of October and would like to fill my freezer. Any information would be really appreciated.

Get a county map and topo maps of the area. Look for low areas and high areas, and areas ajacent to these areas.......then forget about them and drive until you see elk. Look at your county map, find the landowner who owns the land where you find the elk and ask for permission.

The best advice is what Chef just gave you.

Or I could pass on numbers for locals who will the will tell you where to go.

Just looking for phone numbers to ask for permission to hunt on private land, happy to do plenty of walking. Maybe try keeping your messages positive and your peanut gallery commentary to yourself

Lots of snow down this way now. Makes for great spotting. Not so much for recovery though.

There's no sense asking permission if the elk aren there...find the elk then get permission. Ain't nobody gonna spoon feed you.

Landowners are really good down there. I'd start looking around the milk river area if it were me.

I see. I took for granted what the news reported for snow. Ridge south of Raymond and Magrath had a foot.

You better hurry OP. By the sounds of it from land owners and a hunting partner that is drawn for bull in 104, it has been a late rut, and the bulls are still going crazy. Hopefully the heard sticks around and doesn't head back into the US. Good luck to you. I start my hunt in 102 on Monday, and am hoping for the same thing. Looking forward to it!
