Default Brazeau canal

Just wondering if anyone has fished this yet this year. I am thinking of heading up there on sunday with the fiance. Never fished it before, we are looking to see some new country. Any help is appreciated.

Don't know if I'll be making it on the weekend..(supposed to pick up my boat) but I'm itchin' to get out there...

I was ice fishing this year and one of the local guys (retired gas well worker) was telling me that he was amazed at the amount and SIZE of the fish down there... He was trying to tell me that there were fish as big as you'll ever catch anywhere in Alberta but I think maybe he might have had a few morning 'snorts' in his coffee....

You gonna be down there on the week-end ?

Cheers,

/FC...

I believe it. Im from Drayton Valley. My old man told me stories about the workers that were building the dam insisting on using shark cages because of the sheer size of the pike in there. They thought they were floating logs but than they would swim away.

I should be there as long as it doesn't rain too much that morning. Coming from rocky and the county is rebuilding the sunchild road. I guess there is no gravel and with the recent rains it is pretty tough to stay on the road. We will probably head out around 830 or so and stay until about 1. the fiancee has to work 3-11 this weekend so early mornings are tough on her. If we can't make it that far I may just head to twin.

cheers,
