I was wondering the same. I've been invited to join two other friends in December, and we're going to a place where they've been seen before. I don't have much details yet, but I'm looking forward to going and giving it a try!
I have been looking in to this as well. I believe there is a large population around mayerthorpe. I will post when I find better info. I read in local paper tonite woodlands county pays a $50.00 per boar bounty as well.
If your going in the north country you can hunt some in the field around Dixionville, Manning, Keg River. The farmers will be more than happy to let you hunt there property for bore.
Just heard on the radio that the "wild boar problem in Central Alberta has been solved". Apparently 19 were killed this fall, and it is believed there are no more roaming around. Reference was made to the Red Deer area.
