Default My 2008 Mule Deer

Well after long season and many miles of boot rubber lost I finally connected, opening day was a little disheartening as the MD I was bow hunting was taken by another hunter, right place, right time but knew of a few other great deer in the area so moved on.First 2 weeks saw and passed several great bucks, just didn't get good enough looks at them in order to pull the trigger.Third week found myself up in Northern Alberta chasing Whitetail,3 days in the bush produced 15 bucks ranging from spikers to a couple solid contenders but was holding out for that special one and opted to come home empty handed.3rd week of MD season things were heating up,bucks were moving yet still not the quantity or quality seen.4th week started off slow with very little deer movement, warm weather and high winds made for little deer movement, finally Friday morning ,second last day I went into an area I had been during the first week that looked very promising, spotted 3 does moving along the hill sides, patiently waiting for a buck to materialize I was soon rewarded with a small 2 point, nose to the ground he chased the trio into a stand of trees ,as they entered the trees out came a single doe on the opposite side and right behind her was this guy,one look at his G4's and it was over
I realize the pic is not the best but had a little mishap with my camera batteries so no field pics were taken which is too bad.
Gross score 191 5/8"

WHO CARES IF IT IS 191" OR NOT!!! Great Buck with a good story attached to it. If and when you have that buck mounted on your wall may you have lasting memories of when you were able to take the time to get out and hunt hard and enjoy the moment!!
Contrats,

you can tell that from that pic??? Wow you are good. He looks like a 190 mulie to me. Tough to tell how tall he is but His frame looks pretty much the same as my big one that grossed 197 with 3 stickers. That is an awesome mulie. Congrats!

Looks like a hundred and 90 inch mule to me. I dont think you had much of a choice, you would shoot that mule everytime you had a tag. Congrats!
What on earth is a slammer mule deer supposed to look like Schatz? Rather than just guessing, crunch out some numbers, you might be surprised.

Seriously? You must be looking at a different photo.

I'm pretty sure if mulestalker posted a photo from another angle you'd be changing your tune in a hurry.

LOL, If MS says its 191 5/8" then I would bet good money that's exactly what it is. He knows more about Mules than most of us ever will. BTW, nice deer.
