thx for the heads up on them being at cabelas, i think the guy in beaumont might be closed, his 877 number reroutes to a directory that charges you to look up his number, but they give you the same number that reroutes back to him, i found a different number in the beaumont business directory and left a message but i haven't heard anything back.

grndchekem, do you recall which store you bought your kenetrek boots from? i looked on their website and it doesn't show any kenetrek stuff at all

I don't think there is anyone in Edmonton that sells Kenetrek boots. The only guy I know of is the fellow from Ft.St.John. Him and his wife are at every show hunting/fishing/boat show possible in Alberta. He always has a huge selection of boots to try on.

My buddy convince to me buy a pair years ago. I sort of cringed at the cost at the time but my god what a difference it made for me for any type of outdoor walking I do.

Default Boots

Kenetrek boots are great! I have 6.5 years one original pair and they are going to be retired this year. My fellow sheep hunters how ever have had the newest batch of boots from them and have no good luck..maybe bad batch or something. Soles falling off and one pair had the leather around the toe shrink excessively kinda like what the old Hanwags used to do. Those guys ended up switching to new Handwags and have great success with them. They are cheaper and well constructed boot and I may be headed into see that shop on whyte ave to get fitted up with a pair. Used to buy for the Beaumont guy and he was like $550 a pair and my last set of Kenetrek boots we bought 4 pairs from Montana when our dollar of course was way better and we paid $380 a pair Canadian plus shipping. So my long winded point (sorry) try to buy direct from ft St. John or give Hanwags a shot. And again probably just a bad batch and bad luck that we had a few pairs not work out.

Cabelas and WSS do not carry kenetreks. Cabelas carries their own brand which is made by a brand I can't remember and WSS carries lowas. The store in Nanton had them and I believe a store in clarshome is now carrying them. Best boot around imo.

Henry's western wear in Rocky Mountain House carries Kenetrek pac boots so they may also have the hiking boots.

It sure is, and it will tell you the mountain boots are made in Italy. Same as the tags in all 3 of my mountain extremes.

Here's a link if needed
