My concert going days didn't start until the mid to late 80's but I managed to see...
Can con:
- Bryan Adams
- The Northern Pikes
- The Pursuit of Happiness
- The Tragically Hip (saw them at the Norsemen Inn in Camrose )
- Crash Test Dummies
- Blue Rodeo
- 54-40
- Cowboy Junkies
- Grapes of Wrath
Others:
- The Hoodoo Gurus (one of the best concerts I've been to...ever)
- R.E.M
- BB King (also up there)
- SRV
- John Lee Hooker
But, the best concert I've ever been to was in 1994 - Pink Floyd - Division Bell Tour

Best concert I ever went to was a couple of years past the 80's.In 1991
I saw the Damn Yankees open for Bad Company at the PNE.A 1991
concert at 1971 prices was the main draw.
Awesome show and Ted Nugent did a couple of his own songs and in between
wango tango and buffalo hunt 2 giant flags unfurled(canadain and american)
as well as a massive Saddam Hussein dummy and Ted whippid out his bow
and planted an arrow into the dummy. This was when the first Gulf War was
happening and the audience went nuts.
Awesome show to say the least.

Tunes
W. A. S. P
The Headpins
Streetheart
Rik Emmett
All in small venues in Edmonton 2000-2005
Never made to the concerts when they were big but seeing them in Reds (WEM) or at the small bars was great.
My wife hates it all.
Love. AC/DC. Helix. Def Leppard. Heart. Styx. Red Rider. Ratt.

You are my idle!!!!those are all shows I woulda loved to see!!The second best concert I ever saw was 1986 who made who, cause it was my first!!!That concert turned me completely into a "Head",as we were known in that time.1987 Iron Maiden Somewhere in time,The FX were unreal to me and it is my personal fave.I can still see Steve Harris uncover that huge laser canon and start shooting it.Then they used to have rock wars laser light shows at the space science center.a case of beer and a new girl friend....Oh nevermind there's kids on here!!!
The 80's-The decade that made us!!I would go back there and stay any day!!!

In the 80's, hmmmmm, mine would be John Mellencamp at the coliseum in 86ish. Started the song with his grandma singing then broke into Small Town.
Runner up, Elton John in 84ish, still was rocking the classic 70's tunes.

Wow now that's a trip down memory lane, remember 3 for 1 highballs at rock city? The Forum had some good bands as well.

I would say that I have a couple of bests.
Probably the absolute best was Iron Maiden with Twisted Sister as openers. That would have been back in about 1984 or so for the World Slavery Tour.
The first time I saw Judas Priest was pretty awesome. Seeing Halford ride the Harley out on stage.
The best club date I ever saw was LA Guns back when the Forum was still open. A naked girl in the bar on a guys shoulders even had the band staring. LOL. Freaking awesome.
The Killer Dwarfs opening for Skid Row at the Convention Centre was awesome as well. Bas was on fire that night.
I have seen so many. Helix put on a FANTASTIC show every time I saw them.
I don't think I ever saw a bad concert.
Oh, Poison opening for Def Leppard was a real treat as well. I have never seen so many hot, easy, women in one place in my life.

Supertramp was the next concert and they were awesome too.

Saw Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult co-headlining in Minneapolis in 1980 ish.
Black and Blue Tour
Coincided with my first ever strip search at a US border and with drinking a 40 lb-er of Barcardi 151 and having to stay 2 extra days in Minnesota because I was unfit to travel.

ZZTop Eliminator tour had the first laser light shows I'd seen. It was amazing the sound those 3 guys could crank out
Ever since Molly Hatchet Flirtin' With Disaster show my ears have been ringing
Wish I would have known about decibel levels and hearing damage back then!
We were on the floor about 7th row right in front of the speaker tower. I was sure it changed my heart rhythm but probably I was just too loaded
Girls School, Scorpions and Iron Maiden was a great show at the Kinsmen Field house.
George Thorgood was great there too
The Who 25th Anniversary show at BC Place was incredible too
Wow what a trip down memory lane. Thanks for asking about the good old days!

Thx for the reminder about Tull, that was twice also. Would have liked to see LRB, Thomas was a showman.
Think it was Steve Miller who was supposed to, but didn't, show here, when I saw Marshall Tucker, out at Race City.
