took one doe Mule Deer

saw 19 deer in legal areas n 25 or so in closed areas

2 cow moose in legal areas

20 or so Elk bedded ..not sure if in open area

1 Porcupine

1 Ruffed n lots of sharpie

fun time n great weather

Another fun hunt, seen does and 1 buck. Sat morning, we leave the check station about 15 mins after the mass of trucks took off. Head down Purple route, just past the ponds(can still see the station building) and before the texas gate. Whats trotting down the ditch along the power poles? A nice tall 4x4 WT...DOH. In a closed area and well before light, smart deer. Seen a nice bull moose with a cow, no elk. Sure was slippery on the trails.

Gave one truck who's 4x4 wasn't working a tug back out onto the road, found a gun case and turned it in. Even seen the legendary Speckle55, said to my son, I think that's the whitefish guy I told you about who's on AO .

Already looking forward to the next rotation in a few years as we found some nice areas to walk around in along the river.
