Model 94
Does anyone have experience putting a scope on a Winchester model 94 30-30? I'm finally sick of these old drifting sights and would like scope it.
Are there any offset scopes made for it?
Tia

you can get a side mount that uses the factory holes for the side mount peep sight and i think its the elevator stop screw. Any thing that will need to be drilled and tapped would be a much older gun . before winchester started pre drilling for the side mount sights on the rear of the reciever

You can also mount an extended eye relief(scout scope) forward of the receiver.

Do a Williams peep. I had one on a 94 and a marlin. They are terrific. Could never scope a lever. But that's just me, each to there own.

Don't scope it...... its a gem in itself. I have one made in 1921 and still hunt with it sometimes. Its a piece of history.... enjoy it for what it is.

Depending on condition yours actually has collectors value. If you drill it that will drop a lot. You can replace the rear sight with an aperture for hunting, uses the same slot, and keep the original where you won't lose it in case you ever want to sell the gun.

It's in very good condition, only 1 scratch on barrel and no damage on the stock/elsewhere. Wouldn't drill it, I just want to hunt with it like my great great grandpa up to my dad did.
I'll look into getting that sight.
Thanks guys

To be completely accurate, it will be 110 years old, but that is actually still, ten years YOUNGER than Cat.
