Default Couple projects....

I've been working on a few projects and finally wrapped this one up.

This project only came about for curiosity sake. I was reading about forming 350 brass with a rcbs case form die. Problem was it sounded like to need to stand on one leg while jumping around chicken bones to form cases without failures. So I decided to try and make a form die, but with interchangable shoulder/neck inserts. Well to my surprise(?) it works. Each step is very easy to form and I have yet to lose any brass. I may make one more insert between #3 and the factory sizer if I feel ambitious - but I don't right now. This will give me a good excuse to try my next project - (lower on this page)
My 123 die

#1 insert 375h&h - untouched 300wm(for comparison) - 300wm. Note the 375 has enough taper not to touch the first insert.

#2 insert

#3 insert

Cases cut, and run through factory sizer (factory 350 case on far right)

After seeing another members annealer then some on YouTube I decided to build my own. I can't figure out how to post a video so a grainy picture is all you get. Obviously the gas isn't hooked up to the torch head, but you get the idea. Hopefully I will get to try it on some freshly formed 350 brass soon.

*it really loses something without video - sorry.

Good work. Interesting stuff. Amazing what can be done to brass.

You need to move down South. It's lovely here in the spring time. :-)
