I rattled in a 140ish buck two days ago. A buddy rattled three in that same afternoon(all scrap). Mine came to some light stuff. Grunted one in tonight and another on the 3rd I believe. Responses have been ok when I’ve tried.

I will keep at it till I tag out no matter the weather

Most years I do well rattling but this year it has not been too hot for me. Only one buck called in and a good one but no shot opportunity

Default Rattling

Every year,different--One day this past week in 316--Extreme cold with full winter gear--does playing around. In 212 near langdon bow only--a huge wt buck, actually licked my trail cam--No way can I see that deer--he travels with a 6 point buck--just a ghost.Well I guess thats why its called hunting.

Mid november onwards for whitetails is hard to beat. The rut is always exciting. Myself, I’ve yet to fill any tags so I’ll be out all weekend. I’m looking forward to the cold and snow, it usually gets deer up moving around at some point.

Heading out in a couple of hours to do some rattling. The boss is taking the kids to her friends daughter's first birthday party. Unfortunately I can't make it. I told her the deer are calling. And I must answer.

I might need more tags if things like this keep coming up lol.

Rattled in two over the last hour. Scrub came first. Then a 125-130” 4x4. Neither came hard at all. Just slipped in without a sound.

Gonna snow, the elk will be looking for easy feed.

I’m definitely headed out tomorrow as it’s the only day of the week I can. Hopefully this weather gets the deer moving.
