Heres a 44 40 200 gr. Bullet in a jack pine log 1040 fps 7.5 gr. Tinstar 20 inch miroku 1873

And if it were a fresh green wet live tree not firewood dry and hard it would have penetrated clean through it.

I shoot the 44 40 for fun at low recoil 22 standard velocity speed so i was curious about its penetration its slow even for 44 40

I dont have any group photos but it is quite accurate i think, i even like the semi buckhorn rear sight although i had to replace the front with fibre optic
