Mongolian Salmonoid. Known as the taimen, while they look neat, i feel more inclined to fish for lenok. Those are cool lookin!

i caught a few each time, but never any over 50"(other people did though). they're not big fighters.

if their was fight scale, tarpon would be a ten. a dead salmon,snagged off the bottom would be a zero. taimen would be around a 3-4

tremendous top water eats on big mice/squirrel patterns is the big draw.

I've heard they're rather poor fighters. To me, they look rather snakey, and dont have as much muscle density as other fish have. They look big, they just dont look very firm for their size. I could be way off base here, because i've never held one. But, that is pretty much my one draw back to really wanting to fish for them.
