I wasn't intending on eating anything out of it anyway.

Suckers aren't.. exactly tasty. I hear they're alright if you smoke them but I'm not nearly "old country" enough to have a taste for anything carp-like.

A sucker is just a fine as any other game fish. If anything I salute the ugly bastard for living in such filthy conditions.

Ok I thought I would comment on this since I found it in a search, I live in Huntington, is there anything in that stretch of nose creek??thought it would be somewhere to practice tossing lures....

Some decent Pike have come out of Nose Creek as well.

I'm in Calgary unfortunately and I don't drive. MY daughter said they used to catch a lot of suckers out there.
