Default Eskimo 949i vs 450XD

Looking for an Alberta perspective on this for the upcoming season. I want a shelter with enough room that I don't feel cramped and possibly something for the occasional overnighter on the ice. I've narrowed it down to the Fatfish 949i and the Outbreak 450XD. Main differences:

- 450XD slightly bigger and heavier than the 949i
- 450XD grey interior vs. 949i black interior
- 949i interior stitched insulation vs. 450XD "laminated" interior (no pinholes)
- Full door on 450XD vs. typical "trip" door on the 949i

450XD is of course more expensive than the 949i, but I'm willing to spend the money if the difference is worth it. Especially for comfort if sleeping in it overnight.

We got the 450XD limited for the two of us to fish comfortably all day.
Could make do to sleep in it for a few nights too but if I was to become an on ice overnighter on a regular basis I would go with the 650XD just to keep more gear inside etc.
Only draw back would be more space to heat then the 450XD.
Great, warm tent that is durable.

I'd spend the money on the 450XD. It has a fair bit more room (75 vs 61 sqft), better insulation (StormShield is better than IQ, although I prefer IQ), and the grey interior is a no brainer unless you sit over the hole sight fishing often. Most people will rave about the door as well...Eskimo's is just meh IMO. The 949i is a bit small for one person to overnight, and the 450XD is probably a bit small for two. I can count on one hand the number of guys I know that would overnight alone on the ice anyways. So that means definitely a 450XD if you're thinking you might want to try it.

Thanks for the replies. Cabela's has the 450XD on for $100 off currently. No brainer decision in the end. Now to wait for some ice!
