Exclamation 200 plus inches of BBD!

BIG BUCK DOWN!

Hopefully this draws a little attention away from that pig of a ram from 402 that i can't stop staring at.

Holy crap boys, i knew i had a good deer down but not until i got the tape on him and then was i ever surprised...going gross 206 and change by my first quick tape while hanging upside down in garage to 202 and change at the taxidermist the next day!

I had some late june pics of this deer on camera and from previous winter where he was super spindly and the spring velvet pics showing same thing, was not expecting him to get this kind of mass or fork splits etc.

Did not see him again on this piece as he didn't visit it very often, but i got word he was back and was out there pronto tonto to have a look. I had zero time to judge, i didn't think he would be what i was looking for but had to go have a look to see what he turned into.

I bumped him in thick trees at 15 yrds it only took a second to get that 'yes he's big enough' and from there on auto-pilot. I thought it was over before it began as he took a few bounds but luck would have it he stopped about 20 yrd mark and he let me take a few steps to get an opening through the trees. Double lunged him and watched him bust out the end of the trees into the open heading for the next patch of trees but he didn't even get close, he was down inside 50 yrds and i watched it all happen. And he's done nothing but grow and grow ever since i put my hands on him.

He had a 5 1/2" kicker off 'his' right back g2 that he broke off within 10' of where i shot him as he was busting out of the trees....and i found it! Total of 14 scoreable points, two smaller ones right off the bases and one more off one of the brows and then the kicker he broke off. One main beam is over 26", the other he must have dug a stick into near the tip in velvet as small hole and some kinking etc. shortened up to 23 and change, then 16 and 14 inch g2's and g3's and g4's all over 11" mark...5 1/2" bases, over 25" inside spread etc. etc. holy crap. Still some velvet on 'his' left back forks for some more character....what a deer! I still can't believe this is what he turned into.

Hope you enjoyed and more importantly i hope 'my' golden horseshoe stays firmly planted right where it is....especially during the month of october.

Peace out my brothers from other mothers.

p.s. the blood on rump was from dragging him through what was coming out exit wound as of course pics had to be such they would not reveal location in anyway, exit is under bow, he was slightly quartering away, entrance on other side closer to front leg and a bit above centerline, i love those montecs, just pound through the past few big muley's i've shot, arrow 100% intact and you might notice it in the quiver...the red one lol, it was stuck a good 4" into the slight hill behind him

Awesome buck Stinky! Well deserved too. Seems you keep putting bigger animals on the ground each sucessive year. It's great to see when one of the 'good guys' is rewarded for his/her efforts. Congrats man!
