Default Worth ice fishing on lakes near/in calgary area

It has been hot. I feel like planning a good last ice fishing trip around the end of march (if its possible). But I think I'm gonna switch to river fishing til' open water to be safe, would appreciate a response for some advice.

Default Ice fishing

Pretty much every big lake is closed south of Calgary March 16, and with this weather you may want to bring your boat. Some of the stocked trout lakes, ponds will be open but not sure you want to go out on the ice this weekend. Couple of days with + 15 degrees and wind is not good for ice anywhere.
