Default ABBs 2023 Bull Moose

After a long season with the bow, 16 bulls called in with no shot through bush.. 8 cows... 5 calfs... i called it quits and took out a rifle that had a lot of sentimental meaning to me when it is shouldered. First light came early and 5 bulls (making that 21 for the season) presented themselves all broadside from 150 to 210 yards in a 80 yard span across an old swamp. After letting the closest bull cross the island in case the ice wouldnt support my weight in a packout, the 300bee barked and the work began, with the Creator blessing the family meat supply once again for the winter.

Well you certainly got a huge break with the weather. November had a lot of nice days to go for a walk with a rifle. Congrats

Very nice, well done. Assume you hunted farm areas with number of moose you had sighted. Most guys this year had tag soup that hunted wilderness areas.

Glory be to God! That's a beautiful animal and a wonderful harvest. I'm curious how much meat you end up with.

Cheers sir

Thanks for the kind words guys. He was alot of work this one. Had to call in friends with chain saws to romove that beaver felled log and stump on the other side so i could flip him around.

And yes beard is pretty grey at 46. Hereditary. Lol. Grandpa was silver at 33.
