Wabamun
I'm sure there are a million threads on this topic already but I was just wondering what's working for jack outta there right now? I've never fished the lake so any advice would be great.

Sorry, I know these are "dumb" questions but I'm taking a buddy out who's never fished so I'd like to be able to show him a good time.

These will guarantee you fish, me and my fiancé were getting double headers in our kayak just cast fishing with them, had 60 bites we ended up landing about 40 in the net.
They come in 3 packs for only 6.99 (buy lots of extras because the pike bite the tails right off) I ended up having 3 soft bait lures with missing tails by the end of the day.

Just about anything was working a couple weeks ago. Used Rattlin' Raps, spoons, minnow under a bobber for the kids. All caught jack. Both casting and trolling worked.
Went under the bridge from the provincial park and turned left. Stayed in about 12 - 14 feet of water. Hard not to catch them.
Good luck!!

I was out today by sundance...windy as all get out. 7 each for a buddy and I. Best of the day was the black 5 of diamonds. 4 for me on that one alone. Seems they were really liking the Lennies today. Last week it was most things by Pelican Lures.
I threw everything today except the kitchen sink.
If I would have had one I would have thrown it

Almost anything will work in Wab. tons of hungry fish.
used an orange / gold flashy spoon off the cheap rack
( $2.67 at the fishing hole )
And me and my partner caught over 60 small pike a few weeks ago.
Nothing bigger than about 4.5 lb. and they were rare....
So many fish it was almost silly.
Started at the sailing club and worked our way further west.
Didnt even make it to Fallis and we simply got tired
and headed for home.
and oh yah.... I did loose one spoon ! my partner used the same one
all day and he outfished me. Not much paint left on the lures.....
see ya'all on the lake.....

get the blue and silver and the gold with black dots rapala x rap slashbaits i never have to use anything else for pike anywhere and it brings the big fish in as well also its amazing for trolling and has the bearings inside for very far casting trust me on this

If you want numbers i would use a rapala rattlin rap, clackin rap or rippin rap. If you want size i would use a super shad in perch colors in the shallower water. And a countdown magnum in silver to resemble whitefish somewhat when in deeper water. I caught a bunch of big ones last weekend only trolling the super shad in 7- 14 FOW.

Slash baits are one of my faves! But I've caught way more walleye on em than pike
I replace the stock treble/feather hooks with new ones that are bushier - drives em nuts!

People are putting to much emphasis on specific lures. Just use any medium to large spoon or any crankbait and you will catch fish.
