Wal-Mart had AAA Angus Prime Rib roasts for about $9/lb. Butcher was $17/lb. Love to support local but had to grab a few from Wally World for that price.

That was actually $87.56. Discontinued item? You can reserve and tell what Southside price was.

Default MegaPro Screwdrivers

Just found out about these at COSTMO. Clareview location is the only store in Edm that has any left (about 60 as of this morning). Red one is Made in Canada, the other in the USA. $29.99 for the pair.

I've had their Original 15-in-1 driver for years that's seen a lot of use, very good quality and contruction. Bits are not made of the usual cheep tool steel either and can also be used in cordless drills.

Kastner Auction in Edmonton on February 7th has 3 or 4 1hp commercial new meat grinders up for bids. Also there is a nice selection of stainless steel racks , carts and tables. Refrigeration cases , general new restaurant dispersal.

I'm not associated with the sale just know there is always grinder talk on here

Cabelas has sale on RCBS Rockchucker kit and Barnes manual.

RCBS Rockchucker Supreme Deluxe kit $999.97, regular $1,250. It includes the Chargemaster dispenser/scale combo. That's a nice kit. Not a lot of inventory when I looked, though, so hopefully someone here can grab the last ones.

Barnes No.4 reloading manual on sale for $29.97, regular $40.

Default Vacuum Bags

This week at Princess Auto, Vacuum Bags on the roll.
Box of 3 rolls of 8" wide x 22 feet long.
Reg. $24.99 on sale for $14.99.

I find I use the 8" more often then the 11" rolls the food saver packages contain.

Comparing to Costco Food saver it's about 1/2 the cost per sq/in.
Cabela's version is 2 rolls of 8"x20ft @$27.99

The local Walmart has these knives on clearance:

It’s the one in the background there, not in the front (those are also on clearance but around $30, if I recall correctly).

These ones:

Screaming deal, IMO, if you have a use for it.

There also were some broadheads for like $9 down from $40, but I can’t imagine them being any good (I have no idea). Also, some wild game innovations trail cameras (terra something) for about $50 a piece. A few other random things, mostly useless.

Every kid had one of these when I was growing up. That is a smoking deal. If I had boys instead of girls I would be buying them each one. I just don’t think my girls would ever use them if I bought them each one.

My wife has carried one of those in her purse for decades. Women find those knives every bit as handy as guys do. Miss when Grey Beard was doing the Chapel sales, used to be able to get all kinds of these Swiss knives for 5 bucks each. They made great presents. Amazing how many people actually carry them and lose them top airport security.

You might find that if you get them one, they will find a lot of uses over time.
