Default "A Stranger is just a friend I haven't met" Will Rodgers

To-day I had my pheasant hunt with 4 new friends who don't have a dog.

They are very fine fellows, all carrying 12 ga. pumps, and there at the site early.
At least one is a member here, where you meet the best people.

We had a great time, got lots of birds, well the dogs got lots of birds, but the fellows did their part by carrying them,

Saw some awesome dog work, rock solid points and a dog backing, flawless retrieves no lost birds.

The only complaint was that the site was very hilly and my old ticker didn't like that but I have survived so far.

The beginner hunt was very cool too. The conservation folks brought a clay target thrower that was commercial quality, boxes of targets, ammunition and shotguns.

The "beginner" we had was a ringer, she could smoke clay targets!
We got 2 pheasants and had a lot of fun.
