Battle Lake

Wouldn't mind going but have never been there.. Tried in the summer but gave up trying to launch the boat. What's it like in winter. I have heard of a vehicle going through.. What would be the safest way to go and do some fishing?

i wouldn't drive on that lake but people do... yes a truck went through this year.
there are lots of springs under that lake. the fishing can be really good; the only time i got out there this winter we didn't do too well though. it gets pretty deep and lots of interesting structure all over; just punch a bunch of holes, find a good looking spot and hope for the best is all i can say

Yes a guy lost his truck. Went down 40 feet I heard!!!! I wouldnt go there.

For the most part it would be safe. Although I have came across lots of surface water on the lake with my sled in the winter. I just make it a practice not to stop where theres water.
