200 earthquakes off Vancouver island suggests a major Deepsea eruption is coming soon
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/cana...0-earthquakes/
https://www.earthquakescanada.nrcan....pl_region=swbc
Looks like a ton of small earthquakes. Eerily similar to the precursor to the last Iceland earthquake.
Hope it’s not a big uplift but only a slip strike so no major tsunami.

Those tsunami warning signs on the island might finally pay off.

Dam island has been moving and grooving for a long time, we always went fishing after a Little Rock and roll.

Maybe they will separate before Alberta, and Trudeau won't be able to stop them.

Cascadia subduction zone, off the coast of Washington and Oregon. Its not a matter of if but when. Re-occuring basically wiping out the coastal communities each time. Named the Great Slip. There has been evidence of Tsunamis reaching 500 feet in height in some places.
'The geological record reveals that great earthquakes with moment magnitude 8 or higher occur in the Cascadia subduction zone about every 500 years on average, often accompanied by tsunamis. There is evidence of at least 13 events at intervals from about 300 to 900 years with an average of 570–590 years'

The west coast could be in for a rough ride
This AO thread in 2017:

Led to this presentation by Nick Zentner of Central Washington University:

The second video linked in that thread is no longer available.
Which led to these videos on the subject of PNW earthquakes and volcanoes:

n watching the occasional earthquake show here and there, over the last few yrs the coast from Oregon to south Alaska has been pretty quiet in the way of bigger quakes in the 5.0 range and up, been some of those in California area and Northern Alaska over the last few yrs, but not much between. Does make a person wonder when and where a big one will hit again, it will eventually happen. Something big close to S end of Vcr Island that could shake Vcr and Seattle together, could present something special in the way of problems.
