Default Anyone fish wabamun?

I went to wabamun on thursday. In a boat just outside of the boat launch bay. 3 guys we caught 2 monster pike over 9 lbs. 2 walleye and about 20 fish between the 3 of us in about 2 hours. Is this the kind of fishing you shoukd expect here now? Normal? Not?

Wab has its good and bad days. Some days you catch monster others you can catch little hammer handles. Normally you do catch alot tho. Been fishing there alot of years and idk you just kinda get sick of catching pike after pike. Maybe its just me.

Was there today. Wabamun is a great place for a guarantee of catching lots of fish, anytime of year, virtually in any spot you throw a lure.

The lake is overrun with Walleye. Today between 9AM and 1PM - I landed over 60 walleye and 4 pike. My buddy did roughly the same.

Unfortunately most of the pike are skinny and very sickly.

Catching 2 pike over 9 lbs used to be quite common. I would even say routine.

Not anymore.
