Default NSR downstream of Edmonton

Thinking about heading out to the river on Saturday. Will probably launch the boat around Ft. Sask and head downstream, hoping to possibly hook into some sturgeon, have never been on the NSR so if anyone has some tips or info that would be great.

Unless you have a small boat, and dont really care if you bump your prop, be very, very careful!! Its a freekish shallow river and almost always comes up to bite you...I have been dying for years to take my boat on the river, but after seeing several posts on here and in person of what happens to a prop...I havedecided to just keep it to the canoe..
