Default Cold Lake

Hey guys I was thinking about heading up to Cold lake on thanksgiving weekend and was wondering if the lakers are up on the surface yet or not?

I would not expect to find any lakers shallow yet. It has just been two darn hot weatherwise. Need a couple weeks of cold weather to get the lake to turn over.

Default Cold Lake

You might want to check the reg's.
I am pretty sure it's closed for Lakers till Nov 15th.

If you look at the regs it doesnt say closed to lake trout fishing, it only says a limit of 0 from sept 15 to nov 15. We werent actually planning on fishing cold lake, just another lake that is close by that also has LAkers. I figured it would be a good judge of how deep they are in the other lake.

Default Cold Lake

Hey Mike
Are you guys going over to Pierce?
I would think the Lakers would be be spawning over there by now. Have tried there before in late Sept. With some luck, just couldn't catch the BIG one.

yah i am hoping to hit up pierce but i figured its easier asking if the lakers are up on cold lake instead, more people fish cold lake on here than they do pierce.
