Default Heli-Fishing Golden Trout

The weather this morning has me seriously bummed out . . . and thinking about next year.

Anyway, Fishpro's thread on golden trout fishing got me thinking. I'd love to venture up into the high elevations to fish for golden trout! The problem is that I have rheumatoid arthritis in my knees. It doesn't affect me much in my daily life, but there is no way I could do a three hour scramble up a mountain. The thought of running into bears on the hike doesn't appeal to me either. I don't want anyone to have to tell my kids (especially the little one) that "Mommy isn't coming home because Yogi ate her."

Heli-fishing seems like the perfect alternative. There are a couple of companies that appear to offer services in this area to golden trout lakes, but there isn't a whole lot of information available.

Has anyone done this? Where did you go? Guided or not? How many days? Cost? Time of year? What company did you use?

I've been thinking about this too. I'm sure you have looked at the same sites I have but here you go

http://www.icefieldheli.com/fishing/index.htm
http://www.albertaflyfish.com/srch/F...g_Packages.htm
http://www.hansons-outfitters.com/qs/page/7752/0/-1

It's cheaper than I thought it would be
