Default fish taxidermy

I'm thinking of trying fish taxidermy this summer. Hopefully i can catch a big walleye with my a class tags. It just seems too expensive to get someone else to do it. I'm going to do a skin mount. There is a good video on youtube that I watched.

Any other info would be great.

Here is the link for the video.

With this method you get the fillets and the mount. Watch the video.

Well I figure it stinks like dead fish skin and borax already, why not stuff it full of sawdust?? AND you have to admit, it would look really cool with one eye.

Do you have do get special eyes for certain fish species or do you just use marbles? I'm going to try a burbot in the winter and i'm pretty shure they would not make those type of eyes.

Does anyone know how much taxidermists charge per inch. I think its anywhere between 15 and 20 dollars.

I think it would be easier do stuff a burbot because their skin is tough and you don't have to waoory about the scales falling off.

Has anyone ever got a burbot taxidermied before?
