Default Calling Lake

I'm heading up to calling lake for the first time, can I have some advise about the lake.

Not much to tell, go where all the boats are. Dont cross the boundary. Have fun.

Default Calling Lake

Watch the cloud formations.If you see a storm coming in head for shore.
One third of the lake is closed to fishing on the west side.
Watch where the other boats are fishing.
Try by the tower in 10 to 12 ft of water or at volkswagen point.

Not sure when you are going, it opens up on June 1st. Fish anywhere along shore lines but the closed zone and you will find fish.

If it gets windy! Get off!! that is a miserable ol girl when the wind begins to blow! very suseptable to micro burst storms! good luck and have fun!

Are there sign or anything on shore marking the fishing boundary? Might head up there on the 1st, don't wanna fish where i'm not supposed to.

the secret to calling lake is to eat lots of pancakes so when its windy you have lots of energy to hold your boat while it smashes the into the shallow boat launch.

Yaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! Opens this coming week. Cant wait to get into those endless amout of nice walleye in there. Might make it out there this weekend along with the other 1000 boats.

They have a sign at the boat launch showing the gps way-points of the lake area closed off
