Default BCL 102 7.62 Back in Stock

The BCL 102's (preorder) are back in stock for those interested. Paid for it today, delivery says April 5th. Looks like 2 left.

Also ordered 2 extra XCR-M 10 round pistol mags (which fit the AR102/AR10 lowers) like this BCL 102. I think I bought the last 2 as it wouldn't let me order a third.

Should be a fun little rifle.

I shot my rifle for the first time last weekend. Ran 60 rounds trough it no problem. Seems like the Remington Core-Lokt is overpressured as the case head was getting chewed up by something, I’m thinking ejector

We will have share on what everyone finds out cycles best for ammo - saw a gun test (I think it was the gen 2 though) and it failed to feed some lower priced ammo but the better ammo fed cleanly. Also heard that after a break in feeding issues disappear.

The other interesting note is the 1:10 twist seems to be very accurate with heavier bullets like 165,168 grain and up - the lighter bullets seem to group more like a shotgun.

I can't wait to get mine.

Another note - I purchased a coupe XCR-M magazines (10 shot pistol mags) but heard you may have to file/dremmel down (round off) the lip just a touch on the the left/front side of the magazine to prevent interference. Don't know if this will also be true of the gen 3 rifle - but I will report back my findings.

I wouldn't mind grabbing some of the original bcl 5.30 magazines but not quite sure if these are simply sr25's maybe?

I've got a bundle of brands and weights ready to feed my 102, hopefully I get it Tuesday.

I have Hirtenberger, Federal Eagle, Remington, Winchester and HSM ammo in 147-180gr

Haven't decided what I'm going to sight it in with yet, obviously. I hope to come up with a marginal-good factory load then start loading.

the mag issue was fixed on the gen 2's. my xcr mags and the supplied magpul pmag functioned flawlessly other than the pmag doesnt drop free (trigger guard sticks into the mag well a bit so it needs trimming)

i shot federal 150gr and remington 150gr, mangaged about a 2.5 moa group. the remington was overgassed with the stock gas block, and the case head was a bit chewed up.

What are you guys running for sights/optics?

I was looking at a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10X power 42mm Scope on Vortex 30mm rings for the rails.

I was considering a red dot, or even another higher end scope but thought I'd try out this one first - it doesn't break the bank on a recreational rifle like this BCL will be for me - so I won't cry if I drop it in the dirt messing around.

Never had a Vortex before and have usually spend more on optics - but this going to see some rough use and get some bouncing around I think.

The HS 2.5-10x30 viper is what I will be putting on my wk180C when it comes. I’m hoping it’s a good combination on coyotes

I already have a long range beast and I'm probably only going to shoot the BCL to 300 regularly so I only added a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 mounted in the Vortex Cantilever mount.
For BUIS I have a set of 45 degree flip up Ozarks
