Default Dillberry

Hi Guys,

Heading up to Dillberry for July long. Do we need a boat or can fish be caught from the shore?. Probably target perch unless it's too shallow around the shoreline.

Used to catch perch from the shore at my grandmothers cabin 30 plus years back, lake probably is a lot different now than 30 years ago. Caught my first perch there.

Kids love the lake. I just stand waist deep to the right of the swimming area casting small spoons and catch lots of perch and trout. Nothing big but it helps pass the time. We've never taken the boat there.

I have had good luck by the boat launch and get lots of perch using worms and the occasional rainbow. Be warned that lots of boaters out there as well.

Last Winter, many of the perch had slugs in the meat along the spine. Fun to catch, pointless to eat.
