Default Catching minnows

Does anybody know a good place to catch a batch of minnows to freeze for future trips? Spot tail or emerald shiners are preferable. Thanks for your help.

Airdrie pond has tons of minnows
you can catch them with a net along the shoreline or a size 12/14 hook with cheese as bait, just drop the bait down beside the platform.
