was out for a few hours this afternoon. fished off provincial park. 65 /80 ft.

marked lots of baitfish. Caught one 70cm Lakers don’t seem to be to interested in chasing to far up the water column
i’m not sure if i’m brave enough to go much farther across the big lake. Only 14-15 inches where i was

good luck

We tried a few spots that were slow and just stumbled upon a great area, no rhyme or reason. I can tell you we were under 60 FOW though.

was not a discussion it was more of an informative meeting about reintroducing the walleye stocking program. possibly reopening the walleye hatchery. what lake they are considering. you could fill out a questionare and give recommendations on any lake.

I went shallower this week (55-60ft) aswell and there were ALOT on camera. Action was still decent but all the ones caught were under 75cms. Only ones on tips ups were when I was bringing it up fairly fast. Multiple hit just under the ice while pulling up an 8” herring. Best of luck!

Sounds like half of Alberta will be on cold lake this weekend.
I think I'll wait it out a bit longer.

I usually go between 5 and 6 ft tied directly to my mainline
