Default Anyone hunt general MD ?

I see there are a few General Mulie buck rifle zones, a few in 300's, some 400's and 5's.
Bush zones looks like. Does anyone do ok in these areas for MD buck ?
Logic may suggest general tags are avail due to poor access, or low critter numbers.
One of the valid 300's is 30 min drive from our cabin, I hunted it years ago, rivers, lease roads, but ya, bush.
Could be worth a few part day trips, as second supp WT doe tag is valid there too.

Update, checked the zone harvest report, 32 MD buck, 10%, not too good.

I buy the tags for the "just in case" when I am in the areas of the 300's. No luck.

Default General mule deer

I've filled a couple general mule deer tags in the last ten years but they are always pretty few and far between! You never know, if there is a season, then I buy the tag!

If I don't buy the tag then I am guaranteed to see a nice buck but if I do not so much.

Its been a while since the last time I bagged a mule deer, since then MD and I have been nothing but a huge missed connection..

MD but no tag

I will get him one day..

pre-season scouting before putting in my antless MD draw, looks good!! got drawn.

And the only MD I see in the area during the season and that too on a piece of land I didn't have permission..

Made dad apply for Ant. muley in this area and we see nothing but does...

thought I'd share some MD pics to get your blood pumping.
Back to building priority for now and try and hunt some of the general areas this season.. but I will get 'em someday

There are a few crankers on there for sure. They really like to hang out close to the coke pits.

I've seen one other monster in the 500's but overall they are few and far between up here. In 4 years of hunting The Fort Mac area I haven't seen one Muley during the open season, buck or doe.

I jumped the cascade falls in June of 2015 during peak flow and we ran for an additional 3 hours up the Athabasca. We did see a couple different Muley does during that trip along the river, but a guy won't make it past the falls with the low water that fall usually brings no matter what kind of boat you have. 4' of solid rock from one side of the river to the other. I've spent a lot of time below the falls trying to figure out how we could get past them during low water and I just don't think it can be done.

501 last year sitting over looking a swampy area rattling and in comes a 180 inch mule deer buck...a beauty, never seen this before been hunting this area for 13 years.
514 a few years ago, samething, sitting, rattling, dozing off periodically and the hear crunching and a dozen mule deer walk by doe's and a small buck...again no tag etc

Depends whether you're looking to hang it on the wall or just fill the freezer.
