There is a bow zone tag....2 antlerless deer either species to be taken with bow in zones 212 & 248 only....I sure hope someone didn't mistake that for province wide 2 antlerless deer either species supplemental....Because there is no such thing as that!

Ah I know what it was. bow zone 212 had a antler less deer tag available that I believe was either species. Either way I'm wrong

Pretty sure general elk priority counts....although it would be nice if they made it a separate draw code

In all the "CWD" hot zones /WMU's there used to be a general suppemental two mule doe lic..on and above other mule lic...that has been since removed and draw back on...

little weird ...assuming Suffied base is WMU 732...its just under "Antlered Elk" draw ...not even a "Special Antlered Elk" draw...putting it on pri rateing as you stated...
Had a guy predicted this I would have 999-ed my elk PRI 9 which would be a PRI 11 right now...
And took that very good bull under general Bow anyway...
People stating to see crafty method of 999 ????...lol
Short 3 day hunts from Nov to Feb...no Bowzone or Archery...
little longer hunts would be better IMHO...just get to know the place and its over!!!

Amazing, the few quarters I hunt there are always four or five moose out and about. Taken three bulls in the last five years between my son and me, guess the good ol'days are over so back to the draw!

Not sure how powers to be come by some of these decisions...I know they are short handed and do the best they can...but there are times I think it has more to do with politics than Wildlife Management...

Did anyone ever crunch the numbers for Resident allowable harvest quotas? Did the accounting cross the unwritten "policy" thresholds?
Of course much of this decision was politics, and artistic management, just like what happened with Mule Deer when many invested hunters refused to see how they were played.
I'm not saying the final decisions are necessarily wrong, but the process to get to these decisions is quite disturbing to me. Smoke, mirrors and coconut shells.

Beginners question.
I've never applied for any draws and dont have a lot of knowledge on how everything works. I don't want to get drawn this year, plus as I understand, it might take a couple years anyways.
But I would like to start building some priority for when my skills and confidence are adequate.
There's nothing wrong with 999-ing all draw applications I put in right? I wouldn't imagine there would be.
Was planning 999...
Sheep,
elk,
antelope(extremely long wait here anyways?)
Goats a lottery with no priorities? So don't apply until you want it?
This sound right or am I missing something?
Thanks,
P.s: I did read the booklet, but besides the basics, it's mumbo jumbo unless you already know.

That is correct, you should start by 999ing any draw tag that you may have an interest in hunting in years to come. That's how the games played😇

Yes...and hope to get some like sheep before one is too old to climb mountains in November..lol
I dont 999 things like Archery Antelope...simply put in for the draw every year if if a do get it Im prepred to head out and make the most of it...sheep is a little different if your not in shape...A month and a half isnt much time to get in shape if older...but 999 can give you a year to get ready and in shape!!
